I refuse to watch the news
To keep up with the troubles of this world,
not merely from deeming truthful that
ignorance is bliss.
Instead, after all I've seen, after all I've heard,
I highly doubt
that there's something I've missed.

There is nothing new under the sun,
I keep wearing a white T-shirt to symbolize
a blameless life
after all the wrongs I've done.
The only actions new for me are these current ideas flowing from my mind,
so fulsome as much as they are strong,
energy is in motion, and uncontrollable passion has begun.
Troubles of this world combined with mine are just
old reruns.
We either spread lies or use flimsy excuses to avoid the fact
that there are no righteous reasons.
Such things as the eye of history sees.
We have all been stamped by
an unutterable and solemn woe
since the day war came to be-lawless violence has never ceased.

The rigidity and adamancy
we have to continue with such actions appear to capitulate to a dead end.
After all, your enemy's enemy could be my dear friend.
This friend of mine could often vent rumblings of discontent.
I understand as much as the friend can comprehend
to a certain extent.
After giving one's consent to focus on the present,
My poor friend never looks within,
She keeps on talking about the world's everlasting torment,
Adding to the earth-shattering event.
I can only retort with,
‘It is the conscience of the people that is scourged first and foremost by this
slaughter of the innocent.
The main goal is to evolve into your highest self,
don’t be discouraged, dear friend,
thou shall not fear because it’s an illusion
that doesn’t even exist.’

Amidst the vast expanse of infinite possibilities,
amidst infinite wonders,
there lies a harmonious symphony,
finite life emerges like a commercial announcement,
its essence forever in rapid flux,
Ignorance seems more important than truth.
Truth is conscionable, overlooked in favor of rapid redux.
The growing tide of our ordinary rights and everyday wrongs,
of our immoderate lefts and extremely admirable traits,
Which are all repeated melodies of disarray.
Inquisitive minds memorize these songs,
so many succumb to demise and ultimately decay,
while our souls reluctantly jig in a dance of uncertainty.
Our perception, albeit limited,
does not struggle to capture
the terrible information that envelops us.
The notion of bad news,
though revered by many,
lacks true discernment.
Knowledge, an elusive subject, plays hide and seek,
In public, in public schools, from public interest, where they taught us all-blindly.

Truth be told,
everything tethered to the physical realm flows like a rift,
while the ethereal realm of the soul
remains but a fleeting dream, an ephemeral mist.
When the allure of gossip fades,
we descend into the shadowy depths of oblivion, circumstances,
Or plummet into a realm by boomeranged perceptions.

Life, dear friend, is a battleground,
a transient abode we occupy as strangers passing through with
an unarticulate death wish,
our flesh dances, yet our souls are restless.
Predicting the future or fixing the past is difficult,
it's just easier for us to project it.
What then is it which can conduct a woman or a man?
If they knew, would they continue to neglect it?

My local broadcast station reckoned too much encouraging news useless.
I refuse to live in ignorance.
Very seldom can one omit the troubles he's added to this world,
merely after seeing it truthful,
what he must fix.
After all, I've seen, after all, I've learned,
I highly believe there are still so many concepts that I've missed.

The news will never report this.
