What's stupid is he's afraid,
That someone else might steal me away.
But in his fear, he does nothing,
To make me want to stay.
He worries about losing me,
Yet takes no steps to keep.
His silence speaks volumes,
And his apathy runs deep.
He fears I'll find another,
Yet he leaves my heart to ache.
His indifference is a dagger,
In a love he won't partake.
If only he'd show he cares,
Instead of letting his fears play.
For love can't survive on worry,
It needs effort, day by day.
