The days were unending as were the nights,
She waited and waited and waited,
But there seemed no hope in sight…

The dull ache in her chest,
the pangs of longing
never receded because of his absence

The forlon look on her face
The lonely cold nights,the feeling
of insecurity.
Her desperate need for him
made her wait in vain
And when he never returned
She turned into a shell of her former self,
Because it was his affection,care and attention that made her flourish
