Write a poem focusing on a single memory, or describe what you might imagine the typical grandmother’s kitchen to be like.
I remember grandma's kitchen now
scrambled eggs and mixed veggies
I'd never seen a better recipe
but I see that I hate eggs now
I remember cats in the kitchen
but eventually they all found
better lands to roam
than grandma's dining room...
and yet
it feels like
my love for her never ceased
and no matter how the story ended
it always seems like it's ready
to begin again
