As he tosses and he turns in bed
Making all attempts to fade
Into the silent prize of sleep
Hidden in the shade

His mind goes wild and will not rest
Another adventure it must crave
So he lifts his pen, his mighty sword
To save him from an early grave

He dreams up men of charm and grace
And the ladies with control
And with his words he gives them life
And puts them on patrol

The creator's name is Geoffrey
A husband, man, and dad
But with each and every poem
He is defeating all the bad

The news each day just brings him pain
As he sees the world collapse
So every night on his bed
His mind starts running laps.

In each hero, he puts his soul
To fight for what is right
To fix a broken country and world
And get some sleep tonight.
