She lay down every night
and wake up every dawn
suddenly I thought
O! the alarm clock
it is never late
it is always on time
but suddenly
she was gone by night
the clock rang again
again and again
but she never wakes
and then I saw that
clock never really woke her
it was grace that woke her
it is grace that always wakes us.
