Societal Duress
I'll neither frett nor sigh
I'm no longer a kid who easily cries
Listen to all, they have to say
But never will I;
Put my career on stake
Get myself a job
That doesn't fit my taste
And let myself give up on my dreams, needless to say
You just keep on blabbering
Offer me your choices to define
But the last say will only be mine
Force myself to take up careers and all that
I won't do them I promise; is the fact
This is not the era of protests and rebels
They'll condemn you
And yes, of course blackmail
To not live the rest of your life in dismay
Take the lead of your life as you say
Decide what you want in your head with silence
Act wise and smart to avoid pressure and violence.
