Her eyes gleamed with the light
Of her inner strength,
She had walked miles,
Not worried about the length,
She danced with grace
Danced on broken toes
And with aching collar bones
She put that show on
She'll show you she can do it
Just to prove you wrong
She'll pass that test
Even without a full nights rest
She'll pass far better than you
To prove that she's just as smart or even smarter
Her eyes once bright may dull
Proof of all her inner struggles.
