Leaves fall from branches of trees towering high overhead,
in a forest where animals play beneath foliage of red.
Intermingled with colors from orange to dark yellow,
eventually turning brown and and falling far below.

Where they become a blanket that covers the ground,
as people watch nature's display with meaning profound.
Being a sign of the season which brings children delight,
and offers opportunity for chances at a future bright.

Especially with upcoming holidays soon to be celebrated,
between friends and family from everywhere congregated.
Dressed in colors of each season possible to be found
and everybody is greeted with warmth most profound.

While looking down upon forests from atop a hillside,
awestruck by the scene which bespeaks nature's pride.
Wishing that this moment will last beyond this day,
and continue to be an inspiration for children today.
