Everything had changed..
When I was a little girl,
My father used to bathe me.
I used to sleep beside my brother.
I used to sit on the lap of my uncle.
I used to play sports with my colony's boys.
I used to go to the shop alone.
I used to wear t-shirts and shorts.
And then I turned into a teen, and my first period came.
Suddenly, everything had changed.
My father stopped to bathe me.
My mother was not allowing me to sleep beside my brother.
My uncle was maintaining a two-foot distance while sitting beside me.
My granny was not sending me out to play.
And scolding me if I wear t-shirts and shorts.
Then I realised that this was going to be my routine.
And I should get used to this.
