People say strangers do it the most
Oh wrong!
It is mostly commited by someone known to the victim.
The stranger "myth" sends a wrong message that a sexual assault commited by someone known to the victim is not rape. Just because a woman doesn't have physical injuries doesn't mean she did not say NO or did not show RESISTANCE, doesn't mean she was not raped.
Despite the expectations that a 'model' rape victim will fight the attacker back has been recognised as a common physiological and psychological response leaving the victim unable to oppose the assault. often to the point of immobility.
There is no evidence to sustain that false reports are common. the reality is that, it takes alot of courage and determination to report a rape case.
When they enventually do speak up, they're blamed and humiliated being repeatedly asked what provoked it, why they put themselves in such situation.

The assumption that what a woman wears can provoke a man to rape her sterms from rooted stereotypes about male and female sexuality.
No type of dressing is an invitation for rape or implies consent. What a woman was wearing before rape is simply irrelevant!
Rape is NEVER THE VICTIM'S FAULT.
An understanding that rape is sex without consent is the first step to change social attitude that further harm rape victims.
