Intriguing
On a cold dark night.
The sky pale grey,
Neither the moon nor stars in sight.
The rain hits the ground,
The angry winds howl violently,
The lightning abruptly flashes
Hot enough to melt the sand.
I look out the window and wonder:
How can something be so harsh
Yet so soft and gentle ?
And with each strike
Each heavy drop
Each howl.
A warm heart exists in me.
Intriguing I must say.
