You were the Sun
I, the Moon
Together we
were in sync
Once you grew cold,
I went aflame —
When we were apart
the Earth stopped spinning
on it’s axis, and Time slowed
just enough to make it hurt

I’ll go blind
looking for you
in every light
that shines
as you did —
For you were the Sun
and I, the Moon
