Closings and Beginning
In a world of layers, I look so mean,
But beneath it all, there's more unseen.
You curse the darkness, crave endless light,
Yet without the shadows, love takes flight.

Burning, suffering, screaming alone,
In eternal day, hearts turn to stone.
The poets' voices, now whispers low,
Their rhymes forgotten, their passion's woe.

Lost are the lovers, their stolen kisses,
As daylight fades, so too, their wishes.
Goodbyes and beginnings cease to be,
In constant brightness, no chance to see.

In this realm of relentless gleam,
I yearn for shadows, where hope redeems.
Heartbreak prevails, though masked by cheer,
Peel back the layers, the truth appears here.

Beyond the facade, tears start to flow,
A river of sorrow, a hidden echo.
For every human, their depths unknown,
We all have scars that we call our own.

The sternest faces, they may deceive,
Their laughter masking the pain they grieve.
Beneath the surface, fragile hearts break,
Craving the solace that shadows make.

Without the night, how could we dream?
In endless day, would love still gleam?
For in the darkness, stars find their place,
Guiding us through life's daunting maze.

Those stolen moments, so dear they are,
In broad daylight, they seem so far.
The whispered words of secrets shared,
In brightest sun, they're hardly bared.

And when the day turns into night,
The stars above, they shine so bright.
The poets' verses, like celestial art,
Illuminate the depths of the heart.

Amidst farewells and fresh starts anew,
The night offers solace, a different view.
A canvas of stars, a gentle moonbeam,
Glimmers of hope in a world so extreme.

So judge me not by my harsh facade,
But know that I'm like you, a heartache-clad.
Peel back the layers, and you shall find,
A soul that's tender, a heart that's kind.
