Heart of Empathy
I cannot bear the thought of harm,
To any soul, no matter the form,
Stranger or kin, it's all the same,
My heart beats with love, free from blame.

I'd care for them with every part,
With kindness and compassion in my heart,
Even if they wish me ill,
I'd still wish them well, against all will.

Their dislike cannot sway my way,
I'll choose to love, come what may,
For in their pain, I feel my own,
And wish for their heart to be made whole.

So let me spread love far and wide,
And hope it reaches those who hide,
Their true selves, behind a mask of pain,
And may my kindness help their heart regain.
