She's an artist.
She paints her sorrow on a canvas,
and pours her feelings
In her piece of art.
He's a dancer.
He tells a story through his dance.
His body says
What his voice couldn't say.
She's a singer.
She voices her feelings in her song.
She bares her soul
Through her singing.
He's a writer.
He writes his story
On a piece of paper.
On those pages are refuge,
Where he releases
his pentup feelings.
She's a poet.
She voices her voiceless thoughts
In her poetry.
In her poetry lies
her decreet silent cry.
He's an addict.
He drowns his sorrow
In pills and portions.
"One way or the other,
we're all coping with pain
through what we know best"
