Everytime I stare deep into the ocean
I don't see it's beauty and how big and wide it is.
I don't admire the sea creatures, not yet
Neither do I observe the salty features
You know why? I'll share it with you

The beautiful ocean that flows reminds me of life.
Staring deeper, the sea creatures of different breeds,
Represents the different challenges and problems human face.
And the natural salty features, brings back the dark bitter realities of life.
How do I relate this to life?

Many people are trapped in and out of life, the ocean.
Trying to survive the sea creatures representing life.
Challenges and problems but the salty feature of the ocean knocks them deeper into the sea.
The dark bitter realities of life.
Sinking deep into the ocean.

It's true that some people try to run away from the challenges of life.
By swimming away from it with or without a life jacket to protect themselves,
Forgetting that they can sink deep into the ocean of life,
Becoming a prey to the sea creatures,
The obstacles and circumstances of life.

Others, can decide to build a ship protecting themselves.
But they forget that even the biggest ship can sink.
Titanic of yesterday is no more.
And then you get hit by reality, you run Helter skelter.
Running away from life's challenges,
Fearing they might swallow you up,
But finally, it comes to an end when you're deeply lost in it.

I see people who sink deep into the ocean of life.
Trying to find themselves, although already lost in the depth of life.
Life is a game, I say, you need tactics, intelligence and wisdom to play.
But that doesn't mean you won't get down on your knees once or twice.
The good news is you get on your feet and finish the race.

But then I thought to myself, why can't we try not to run away from life.
Face the obstacles, challenges and problems it brings and throw at us.
Because we have a mind to be determined, a mind to deal with life's problems.
I have a mind to do that, same as you, then do it!

But again, I thought to myself
Life sucks, we have to get out there and kick it's ass.
Succeed,make constant efforts, fail and try again, keep trying and work harder.
Live life to it's fullest because you only live once.
But don't forget your purpose in life, work towards them.

Don't get to caught up in work,
Make yourself happy and everyone around you, at least try.
Admire the dark blue ocean, see through the sea creatures.
They remind me of life.
