Reflection
Every so often I look back and reflect
Of past actions; to whom and how they’d effect.
~
Not as an exercise to benefit my self esteem
More of a fast moving mind with frequent daydreams.
~
In the past, for what to do with my feelings, I wasn’t totally aware
But my regard and concern for others was never impaired.
~
I’ve always been overly bashful and shy
But I consistently kept feelings for others in mind
~
If I seen somebody being hurt or misunderstood,
I’d want to help them in any way that I possibly could.
~
I sort of went through life by the seat of my pants
And made it this far purely by chance.
~
A natural inclination to always help any person
With a yearnful desire to ease any amount of their burden.
~
Older now while I’m looking back
I see that figuratively, I was always right on track.
~
Now again, reflecting on all my history that’s led me to this day
…I’m proud to say there’s nothing I’d change and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
