Bare Emotions
They lay those emotions bare
They opened up, they share
Their names written in the book of life
Forever, a reference of human's struggle and strife
Their prayers became the go-to script
For the silenced, traumatized kids
Their stories are real, from the history
As far, and as deep as the excavations of archeology

Imitate not only their faith
But also the way they surrender their burdens
Using words with heavy weight
They weep much stronger than storms
They grieve much destructive than flames
Their ancient written hearts have became
The verses for modern comfort
For the oppressed and shamed.

Their undescribable feelings
Has been described in hundreds of metaphors
Their small wounds screams exaggeratingly
Than hyperbole
But that's because they really sore
And really drown in the depths of tragedy

We found strength in their vulnerability
We had reprocessed our pain by reading theirs;
Their collected tears was preserved
In the pages of 66 books breathing in ages
Meet the orphans, the widowed, the disabled
The raped, abused, the leper,
The farmer, the shepherd, the queens
The prince, the Persian kings,
The warriors, the fishermen,
Men of few words,
But also the men of sentiments
The patriarchs, the physician,
The tax collector, The commoners
The simple humans
With complex stories
The criminals, The prodigal
The martyrs, the prophets,
The centurion and his household
The lyricist, the skilled copyist
The scribes, the baptist
And the stories of refugees
