A trip forever cherished,
the day you walked on through,
looked at me and smiled wide,
and that is when I knew.
The ride home like a lifetime,
with me held so close to you.
I heard your heart beat rapidly,
the sound of love made true.

Days on end we'd spend together,
Laughing as we play.
I wished this would last forever,
For things to stay this way.
With aching heart I sit waiting,
watching as you laugh away,
all the memories we made
that long forgotten day.
