Prayer (Extended Version)
When I don't pray,
it feels like my sin that
Is unforgiven wraps it's chains around me, they imprison me
Lord God I have a question, Where are you at Please God I'm asking you to do anything, set me free
This is how and what I feel: Guilt and Shame
With and to you I have to communicate and engage
But the emotions that I feel wraps me up in pain
When I wait sin has me locked in it's cage
What and why are so many things causing me anxiety
Another thing happens when I lose communcation I feel depression,
creeping up silently without warning attacking the inside of me
Lord God I ask thee to set me free without question
Oh Father I've had something that I've been longing to say
All through-out the day I've had a desire to pray
My thoughts and worries consume me
When I pray I feel a sense of peace and security
As I hear you whisper to me that you will never leave
Nor forsake me
All of my pain and heartache that I've felt today
Seems to fade away like a book when you turn it's page
been set free, sin and darkness they no longer
imprison me
Through Christ I have victory
