Such fools they were
To think that they were fit for me
The one wanting to marry me with bride price
A great fool he is
To think I will be influenced by money
Not to think what a fool he was
A fool gloating about his riches
Going to all ends of the earth
Beaming with smiles at his popularity
Not realizing that he was stupid

Such is another who wants to marry me without bride price
To think of me as a low entity
Not good enough to be valued
Never is such a man to be honored
Since he can not honor my dignity
Not good enough to be in the midst of real men
Never knew I would meet such a fate as this

Happy to reach a marriageable age
But been beset from two sides by fools
Such is life
Where you see the good and bad
And also the wise and stupid
You just have to take what you see
And sieve the wheat from the chaff
