"FADE"
My gluttonous eyes devour
Her art in flesh and graceful motion
And at that, I can only smile
Though my soul drowns in her emotions
did she fade
or is she momentarily lost and jaded
was she swallowed up by all her thoughts
finding only thoughts she hated
how much smile does show
unknowingly, upon her lips
does that joy ever grow
or pass away as the mood may slip
Did she fade
Or did I die while she was away
Was I reborn upon her return
After eons suffered waiting for this day
why, within my own heart,
Are there pains for sadness I do not own
my eyes bleed
And my lonely heart cries,
As I watch Beauty grieving all alone
...
In ancient tomes, it was said the moon
Was a lovestruck goddess who traversed the skies
Madly enamoured With the virile sun
Whose light reflected within in her eyes
Yet, it is I who feels as the moon,
With my eyes fixated upon her light
round her, 'tis which heavenly bodies turn
Her smile dictating day and night
I pray evermore
joy shines within her smile
Unbeknownst to her
And undefiled
As she looks
through the eyes of a child
So heaven and earth
Align for the while
And in the purity of her beguiled grin
I'd find restful peace and settle in
Into this beauty for which the heavens were made
And at last, all else but her may fade
She shines
All across the sky
As I follow behind
with her light
reflected in my eyes!
