The price of ignorance
Melting in the golden hue
of the opulent sun,
receding into the dark maze ,
I sat in the lonely bench
reminiscing the warmth of the hand
that once wrapped me
in a cocoon of bliss;
Now a bundle of bones
burried in a pit so deep.

He was my universe, my brother.
All i recall is a call , heartwrenching
I stood in the icu, held his icy palm,
hoping it would make him warm.
Only if they told us the risk,
only if the Gods in white coat,
didnt see him as a lab rat,
a heart would still beat.

Sure you are saviours, doctors
But arrogance , ignorance
and all the anatomy you crammed
is a waste,
when you find your guilty voice,
behind the bars , ashamed.
