The human mind focuses more on all of the negative
Wasting time, when there's just as much, if not more, that's positive
Noticing all the blood spilt
But not when a fall goes noticed and helped

Aching when a heart is broken
As someone willing to play that part passes by
Black and white is all they see
But the black shines much more bright

Feeling awful when hearing something bad on the news
But without all of the blood smearing, there would be no change
After all, butterflies don't become beautiful overnight
After countless tries, THAT'S how they make a change

Too focused on the negative to begin cultivating
The positive is an adjective that's just not captivating
Deeply focused on the lives of the homeless
It feels kinda hopeless, after all, you have a home

Hurting when a relationship is completely lost
But everyone needs a few tears to drip in order to grow
After all, it shapes your personality
So pull back the drapes, and embrace the tragedy!
