Resonates with every four,
Down the pitch,
Over the arm,
Cricket has its own charm

Millions cherish the lively game,
and the talent that takes to stage
the bat richochet's like a gun,
setting off the timely run.

the crowd cheers at the sixes,
the crowd jeers at the misses
The standoff 'o' batsman and bowler,
sends fans shouting & howlin'

six balls do make the over,
yet the game is by no means over
who is bold enough to take the wicket,
and prove to be king of cricket.

who dares to dive for the catch,
and seal off the fate of the match
who dares to challenge the umpire,
and to face consequences that are dire

the fielders shouting..."hoowzit!,
the batsman's heart is pounding
oh the beauty & bliss, the lovely game,
the winners glory & the losers' shame.
