I want to see
I want to see,
That you’re doing better without me.
I want to see,
That me leaving made you who you want yourself to be.
I want to see,
That my words stopped echoing in your mind faintly.
I want to see,
That over time you prove to yourself that you’re not under my word’s decree.
I want to see,
Both of us grow subsequently.
Because we’re both young and can make a mistake,
I see that now.
So instead of drowning each other in our anguish and hate,
We should see each other through a lens of solace and fate.
Even if you don’t forgive me,
I hope you’re happy as of late.
