If I Were That Mary

If I were that Mary
I would be happy.
Troubles may come
For Miracles overcome.
Pain comes to pass
Yet divine hues surpass
Simple with joy
When th' poors enjoy.

If Christ forms in my womb
How sweet than the honey - comb!
Oh! I am not that Mary
Him? Iam not worthy to carry
For He is Heavenly
And Holy yet Lowly.
In my Spirit I am begetting
Him! not as a babe but as a King.

One I can do now
Accept Him and bow
Believing Him as my God
To meet Our Father - God.
In Heaven So Holy
To meet Him boldly
With my eyes I will see
That baby, my King to be.
