how beautiful was the day
on which you two souls
fell in the rabbit hole of love
and only fell deeper

while us two souls
fell apart at the sight
of you two souls
holding hands

speaking of the
beauty of love
between you two souls
the sight of your

fingers interwoven
and the smile upon
your face
while us two

watched and admired
were you wondering
"could that have been us?"
in your mind?

because i was
thinking of it too
us two souls
could be so much more

but us two souls
are nothing more
than friends
and you say

that it will not change
