To love a woman of mind isn’t easy,

Lies wrapped in affection, excuses of the heart,

No futile debates, no endless preach.
Her habits don’t demand your time,
Yet her silence speaks in rhyme.

She doesn’t ask for fleeting things,
Her desires soar on independent wings.
She embraces herself with grace,
She wears strength upon her face.

With a smile both kind and wise,
She corrects your faults, makes you realize.
If things go wrong, she holds them tight,
Dreams, she strives to bring to light.

But never will she bow her head,
To the words of others, easily misled.
In humility, she’ll offer love divine,
Never for herself, but for you she’ll shine.

Yet loving her requires your best,
For lesser hearts fail the test.
A love broken by deceit and lies,
Is one from which she won’t rise.

For if a bond is torn apart,
She won’t rejoin a broken heart.
