HAVE YOU SEEN ME
Have you seen me with the bucket of water bigger than my head?
Seen me with the log of wood swerving left and right?
Have you seen me with the tattered wrapper revealing my belly?
Seen me blowing air into the burning flame with my teary eyes?
Have you seen me cowering under the rusty blanket at night?
Shedding away from the cold breeze or the burning sun
Sheltering under the palm roof with the empty hollow wall
I'll take shelter for the rest of my head without peace
The peace ripped apart by the non stop song of the late bird
Or the squeak of the frog right down the forsaken lake
I hold unto her with my arms in close embrace
I could hear everything and endure but not her
Too young to get her dream ripped by the sound of nature
Nothing with me matters as a call in a canal
All I want is a protection over her head
And not a day over without food on her plate
