Eyes Off Me
Clouds colliding, spring going away,
Life going back, to an uncrumbled sheet,
Sighs heaved, Whispers heard,
Time passing by, like a strange beat,

The lonely lamppost hears footsteps on the road,
Faces turned with an unflattering expression to see,
As if I were the red among the blues,
Hiding away, wanting all eyes off me.

Wind whistling, cold winter arriving right on time,
Lying on the ground, unnoticed and ignored,
Insults stabbed, caged by complaints,
Wanting it all to end but still wanting more,

The fall leaves were crushed under them,
Disgusting murmurs stayed in my head rent free,
As if I were a queer fish in the blood-red lake,
Sailing away, wanting all eyes off me.

Hazes hiding the sun, sky crying in melancholy,
Standing all alone, drenched in rain,
Mess made, Hopes fading away,
No fake grins but tears going in vein,

The rain didn't end and the sun never showed up,
The whispers were now silent screams,
As if the war finally ended but left scars,
Darkness embracing, all eyes off me.
