For a moment, I thought it might've
been real
Illiousions come so close
Almost makes the heart stay still
Why do I feel so beaten down
It should not hurt
When I have so much to give
Building a wall
Next time I am unsure
If I will allow it
To get broken down
Good in people, I know it
Patience it will come around

Ways always taught to treat others
As you want to be sought
Lately the world
So hard to each other
Love your neighbor
Treat as if they are family
Kindness will kick in
Instead of robbing the other
