I wish
the art
of leaving
didn't come
with the
sense of
uncertainty
of no
return,
strong,
troubling
tugging
of heartstrings,
and
bittersweet
nostalgia.

I wish
it was
as easy
in paper,
to turn
your
back from
the past to
pave way
for a
new, uncharted
future
ahead.

Yet, the
irony of
all of these
is that
the art
of leaving
is something
we do
all the
time
subconsciously,
a part of
the process
of life to
give space
for the
new and
to leave
something
old behind.
