I open my eyes and suddenly feel so cold,
My limbs feel so tight, so sore like I'm a 100 years old.

And I remember that I was just through an operation,
Finally I was free, free from my eternal damnation.

You see I was born with a very weak, a very fragile heart,
I was god's creation, but was his incomplete art.

Now, I was very happy, over the moon that I could live a little longer,
I could run, be free and do everything I want; for now I'm much stronger.

I turn my head slightly to see my mum sitting besides the bed,
She whispers 'you're going to be alright love' as she caresses my head.

She hands me a piece of paper, a letter addressed to me,
I was curious, intrigued as to from whom that letter could be.

" Dear monkey adelle," it read and straight away I knew it was my brother,
I was angry as to why he was not here and sent a letter through our mother.

I was confused and didn't know what was going on,when I saw my mum's face twisted with agony and knew straight away that something was wrong.

" I know you're angry at me that I'm not there,
But I want you to know that I'm in your heart absolutely secure.

And that's when the realization hit me, as I lay there,
I felt suffocated, couldn't breathe even with the borrowed air.

As I lay there numb my eyes fills with tears,
Cause inorder to save me, he gave his own; Infront of his sister's life nothing else compares.

Inorder to make his sister survive he died; making a supreme sacrifice,
I may not know how love feels; but today through him I saw what loves looks like.
