I was stuck in a pit of saddness,
unworthy of common love,
a heart filled with darkness,
given a quick cold hard shove.

Then he enter my life,
gave me a whole new meaning,
he pulled out the knife,
gave my wounds a fast cleaning.

I thank him for this forgiving chance,
he taught me how to love thyself,
enjoying the spark of a new romance,
sadness fleeing for once off the shelf.

No longer scared to look in the mirror,
for he has shown me my true beauty,
the fog has lifted and things couldn't be clearer,
loved for the first time as if it was his main duty.
