I was so happy I didn't have to be alone,
I knew that when you finally came home.
I was so happy that I cried
And cried
And cried
Metallic tears dripping
In the humid bathroom light,
I wept lakes and heard you sigh
Wished I could say how glad I was to have you
In my life
And they came time and time again
Trying to fix the broken parts within.
But it does not stop to rain because you wish
The clouds away,
And in the end I hope to God
My tears will at least make you
Stay.
