I have seen pain.
I have felt torment.
I know what it feels like to be insane.
I know the lost feeling of abandonment.

I have seen you standing in the rain.
I have felt with my soul all your lament.
I know how much the cold is your bane.
It's frozen your soul and ceased all movement.

We both want something to gain.
Some'in that may fill our fulfillment.
Yet we can't backstab our own brain.
It rules our minds and robs all joyous moments.
