Here lies the house that has won me over with its charm
It is a centennial house that has been restored
See the wrap around porch with its curb appeal
One on side, an upcycled round glass table and chairs
The perfect place to sip on freshly brewed coffee while reading the morning paper
Or watch cars drive by
And stop for a minute to admire
The beautiful flower bed that has won
The Home Garden Award year after year


And a rocking swing to sit on while
Having deep conversations
Behind the house is a big backyard
With a vegetable patch bursting with fresh produce
And look! There's a small farm, too
There are hens, goats and rabbits
The only neighbors around for miles
I love the large windows
How they let all the light in
And the sturdy bricks and sloped roofline
Where I can hear the pitter patter
Of raindrops

I ring the doorbell
Its sweet melody, like that of windchimes, is followed by footsteps...
