The Pain and Scars in my Heart
In the silence of the night, my heart aches,
Each beat a whisper of dreams that fade,
Memories linger, like echoes in a lake,
Love’s once bright fire now starts to jade.
I walk alone where shadows softly weep,
Haunted by laughter that once filled the air,
Promises made, now buried in the deep,
In a sea of regret, I find despair.
The sky holds no answers, the stars are cold,
Their distant light, a cruel, indifferent gleam,
Wishing for a touch, a hand to hold,
Yet grasping only fragments of a dream.
Time moves on, but the scars still burn,
Each day is a reminder of what’s left behind,
Yearning for solace, for some gentle turn,
But heartache leaves no peace to find.
Yet in this sorrow, strength begins to grow,
With every tear, I learn to heal,
Through pain, I find the courage to let go,
And face the dawn, my heart revealed.
