A back up in a flower vase
A back up in a flower vase,
Who once amongst quakers
Was made recluse for one friend,
Who was an, "I can't live without"

I won't be recalled, so I resolved,
Till the end I'd wait for her
I prayed and hoped on my stars,
That soon she'd be forced to stop by
Leaving this place wouldn't help,
Not with the loneliness anyway
I resorted to feign pathetic acts,
Muttering, "Nobody wants my hand!"
I did all of these to avoid,
My being distracted when
She comes my way so she'd see,
That I've been here all by myself
Patiently I've been sitting,
Waiting in the dark silence
For the day she would return,
Fully out of options, I'd be quiet
I'd be quiet in my space though,
I've been convinced that I care
I'd want to rush to her rescue but
What I want from her is to recall that,
Someplace she left a spare.
