the self-proclaimed genius ape
#WritcoPoemPrompt8
Every soul that passes the gate,
Every tremor, every escape
Is a nomad child
Oblivious and wild
Furtive and silent, beautiful ape
Who dreams of a Soul
Redeeming its flesh,
A mirror to all
Who think truth is real and friendly
To hands and to brains.
Oh beautiful child,
Oh kingly creature who craves
Oblivious
Vehement
For its slow death.
