AM I A FAILURE? [A PONDER]
Poem:

AM I A FAILURE? [A PONDER]

Gift was born a gift to his parents,
At their very old age.
He struggled to make his first speech,
Fought to take his first step,
Mocked when he couldn't say his ABC correctly,
Ridiculed when he didn't understand 123,
Intimidated when he attempted to mingle,
Taunted as 'Mama's Boy' when he behaved like a premature,
Graduated a mediocre from elementary school,
Became academically sick at the college,
Does that make him a failure?

Faith had no faith in herself,
Always awkward in challenging situations,
Tagged a chicken because she chickens out often,
Often when she's caught, trapped outside her comfort zone,
Couldn't stand too much stare by others,
Always fidgets when queried by her educators,
Failed her examinations, got a low GP,
Graduated worse, giving her mama a high BP,
Rejected by prospective employer even before taken the aptitude test,
Got frustrated, and turned on herself,
"Am I a failure?"

Joke sounds like a joker, calling herself a success,
Never graduated from a university,
Couldn't seal a job appointment for long,
Always shuttling between professions,
Like a Jack of all trades, mistress of none,
Tried her hand on show business,
Flopped even before hitting the limelight,
Got enrolled in the civil service,
But never rendered a single service,
Everyone thought she's a washout,
"I'm not a failure!" She defended.

[Inspired by the struggle of the man who no one believes in and nobody is ready to help]

NOTE: Every man fails at a point, but not every one is really a failure until he/she gives up trying to succeed.
