A prayer of soliloquy 🌿
The world is in the quest of peace,
but i know where it is lost,

Under the rocks of comparison,
in the smoke of envy,
behind the clouds of greed,

In the concrete jungles of today,
with challenges of survival,
and pressure of subsistence,

I sought peace in all the wrong places,
in possessions and wealth,
in adulation and gratification,

Perhaps peace exists,
in the forests and grasslands,
in flowers and leaves,

In the misty mornings,
when the bird's chirping,
in a prayer of soliloquy,

For thou who is left alone,
not in accord with this world's rhythm,
that's superficial and facade,
that's callow and bizzare,

We are taught early to amass wealth,
but lost peace in this contest of supremacy,

I get your point,
when you call money's the king,
finding peace is a farfetched dream,

With rush hour traffic,
and a douchebag boss,
life is not designed a utopia,
lasting peace must be a fairytale,

Therefore i try to find content,
in the fleeting moments of joy,

In my art supplies,
when i paint cobalt blue,
or pictures of green mountains,

I find little moments of bliss,
in music and sleep,
in fables and dreams,

But if you desire money,
and i need peace,
we are two worlds apart,
that would never meet..
