Demolishing Dreams
Don’t demolish someone’s dreams just because yours didn’t work out.
Every human has dreams
derived from passions within
that shape the goals
and drives life forward.
The growing imaginations
that could make life greater,
well above the current view
bringing life anew.
With working and failing,
the ups and downs,
with efforts and losses,
feeling all life could be lost.
The gloom and the doom
can bring resentment
when we see others
succeeding, doing well.
As bitterness grows inside,
wanting to tear down others,
bringing them to the lower
levels we feel within.
Just remember, it wasn’t them
that quit because things got tough.
Instead, you’re allowed to watch
them walk through the rough.
Going to places you’ve never been,
onward and upward to beyond.
Love them enough to let them succeed
in doing what you’ve never done.
It’s the true art of love
that comes from above,
finding joy and beauty,
watching others rise to overcome.
