a personality dripping in charm
instead of poisoned malice

why can’t I be warm and safe
like I am on the insides?
an aura encasing embers
instead of wanton vindictiveness

why can’t I be calm and collected
like I am on the insides?
a soul of simple pleasures
instead of tumultuous maledictions

why can’t I be whole and bright
like I am on the insides?
a body of celestial conglomeration
instead of self perpetuated perdition

why can’t I simply turn all my
insides out?
everted to show all the parts
soft, warm, calm, and whole
supple, safe, collected and bright
why instead do I not cleave all my
insides out?
