The Poem of Forgetting
If I was a poem you once learned in school
You'd forgotten me by now.
-Back then you saw the beauty within my imperfect rhymes.
-The only one who read between the lines.
-A plot full of heartbreak but unforgettable times.
-Of a girl so in love with ocean blue eyes.
-The boy never knew how much she cried.
-People who told her 'out of sight, out of mind.'
-But eventually the girl from the poem found out they lied...
And this tragic poem is our tragic story, so I will forever wonder how
Something you once knew by heart can be so easily forgotten by now..
