Hubris of rain (A haiku sonnet)
Deprived of water
People losing their patience
Prayed to the rain gods,

God heard the pleading
People could sigh in relief
After rain arrived,

Rain got in hubris
Reason meagre petrichor
After scorching heat,

Drought starts berating
Rain feels denigrated with
Drought's stingy remarks,

Sojourn would not bother him,
Unless rain called upon storm..
