As the future, begins to come online.
The people observe,
that it is full of demise.
Full of,
polluted water,
land and sky.
Temperatures and sea levels rise.
While storms and fires,
devastate the globe worldwide.
The world becomes infested with poverty, homelessness and addiction.
While the crime rate, turns into,
a destructive crime wave.
Martial law is declared,
in every state.
It is immediately,
decided,
that for our safety.
Our rights and freedoms.
Will be violated,
every day.
Everyone,
will be stopped,
searched,
and patted down,
on a daily.
Anyone engaging in subversive speech.
Will be hunted down.
and shot dead in the streets.
That is when,
people stopped talking to one another.
And stopped bothering,
to meet.
