Have you seen it, where the sidewalk ends?
It's very clear the trail the path it depends
Walking long and straight around each and every bend
Carrying on in the day along with each and every sin
I've seen a lot of things, looking without when I look within
I’ve seen the beginning, all the things numbered between 1 and 10
I’ve seen what it means to lose before you win
To separate blood from water and blood from kin
I know the permanence of marker the point of the pen
How it differs from the pencil, how only the two can mark the skin
I know some of ahead and some of what's been
I know well enough to know the present is the one to stay in
I know the woods to walk and how to find my way in
I know the spaces to leave and which ones to play in
I know how to breathe and move like the wind
I know which words to speak and the ones not to send
I know when to rise up and just when to stay pinned
I know of the start and where it begins
So it only stands to reason that I know where the sidewalk ends
